Built For Life – A Motto For A New You

“Built for life” – quite an interesting title, right? And if you think well about it, it has two meanings. The first refers to staying in great shape and maintaining that lean and muscular look for as long as you live. This way you will never be ashamed to take off your shirt at the beach, the pool or anywhere else, and most of the times you will be “the best built guy in the room”.

The second meaning refers to the mental side, to be prepared for whatever life throws at you. You are “built” to overcome all the stress and problems in your life and have a positive attitude every day.

A proper weight training routine can offer you both of these aspects and this doesn’t mean you will have to perform joint-busting workouts with huge weights. Actually training with max weights every time can have a lot of negative effects, especially as you get older.

Sure, if you are a young person driven by your ego and looking to impress everyone with how much you can lift you can train heavy. Low reps with big weights will definitely make you stronger but will not necessarily bring you more muscle. There is always a cumulative cost and I’m still dealing with injuries I sustained during my years of power-lifting.

I’m not saying that power-lifting is bad, just that using huge weights is not necessary for everyone, especially if you want to become a better and healthier version of yourself. Getting and maintaining a muscular physique for life doesn’t require super-heavy lifting if you know how to train smart.

No matter if you are 20 and just starting your bodybuilding journey (like the guy in the left) or a mid-aged man that has been training for decades (like myself), to lift smart means to train in the safest, most efficient and fastest way to build muscle and burn the fat.

I promise you that the “Old School New Body” is a no BS program and I want to provide you with all the information you need to get a body that turns heads and supports your health and well-being for as long as you live!

Stay tuned, train smart and be "Built For Life"!
